Through Her Lens: A Study of Women’s Perceptions of AI Image Generators through Design Fiction Workshop



While technology is advancing rapidly, there remains limited consideration of the social issues embedded within it. The growth of AI image generators introduces challenges related to gender and other intersectional biases. Through qualitative interviews and the Design Fiction Workshop, eight female participants address concerns about biases, misinformation, and unethical AI use. These insights underscore the necessity for a more inclusive and ethical AI landscape. Furthermore, the findings highlight the potential of employing the design fiction method to envision an ethically informed future for AI technologies.
