Why: how we can use AI in the home for positive purpose
Narrative:
A house in a suburban area of the US stands at 2 stories tall. It’s a traditional looking home with a garage and fence around it. A man drives his car onto the driveway, and speaks aloud to the screen that takes up the majority of the car’s console. He asks it to open the garage for him.
The car parks itself inside the garage, and the door opens automatically as soon as the car is put into park. The man steps out of the car, and heads inside the house.
He starts preparing to cook. The side of his fridge has a screen that contains his AI assistant. This assistant will tell him what food he is running low on in his fridge, how to cook things he’s unsure about, suggest recipes, and play music based on the food he’s cooking.
He’s unsure how to check which one of his tomatoes are okay - he bought them a few days ago and doesn’t know if they’ve gone bad. Immediately, his AI assistant generates pictures of tomatoes that have gone bad recently, and pictures of ones that are still okay to eat. He sees that his tomatoes are okay to eat, then asks the AI what to make with the ingredients he has.
The AI generates images of many dishes so he can see exactly what his food may look like after he’s done cooking. He selects one that he thinks looks tasty, and the AI provides him with the recipe to cook. At every step, the AI generates an image of what his pot should look like. It also gives him images that detail how to cut his vegetables according to the recipe’s needs.
